Recent global events have again proven the necessity of access to actionable environmental data so that we can understand risks to our restoration sites and implement timely, targeted strategies where our nature projects need them most.
Fire occurrences
Powered by advanced satellite technology, this data layer delivers near real-time fire detection at a sharp 375-meter resolution for up to seven days. This means it can spot even the smallest fires and map the edges of large wildfires with high precision - outperforming older systems with coarser resolution, helping you to respond to and manage wildfires.
Erosion risk
Built on a massive global dataset - using 3,625 weather stations and rainfall records spanning 40 years of ground data - this tool provides erosion risk at a 1 km resolution. Identify areas most vulnerable to erosion from heavy rainfall and take preventive steps to protect soil, crops, and landscapes.
Drought risk
Get a clear view of the drought risk in any region with a 10 km resolution, helping you identify regions that may need extra care to manage water stress. This data layer helps you see where drought risk is highest, take action to protect crops, ecosystems, and water resources, and use data-driven insights to optimize water management strategies.
Restor’s mission is to provide access to critical environmental insights - using advanced geospatial technology - directly into the hands of restoration practitioners like you. All the existing and new data layers are a blueprint for proactive stewardship so you can protect ecosystems before crises escalate, and build community resilience in a rapidly changing world.
