Restor celebrates the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Agreement and the commitment to restore at least 30% of degraded terrestrial, inland water, and coastal and marine ecosystems by 2030. Accelerating the speed and scale of nature restoration is crucial to stopping biodiversity loss, mitigating climate change, and improving people’s lives.

We applaud the creation of a new fund and commitment to increasing the availability of financial resources but more ambitious investment is needed. We encourage nations, charitable organizations, and companies to channel funds to the thousands upon thousands of smaller, locally-managed restoration projects already protecting and restoring nature worldwide.

The world must work together to achieve the 30x30 goal. Restor is proud to be a part of the solution and an advocate of the incredible nature restoration community.
