We are looking for a dynamic and mission-driven Product Owner to guide the future of Restor’s platform. This role will be instrumental in shaping the direction of our platform, ensuring that we deliver valuable features to our users, and driving our vision of empowering global nature stewardship. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product ownership, an understanding of business and the environmental space, and the ability to get things done.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision
Develop the overall product strategy and long-term vision for the platform with leadership, ensuring alignment with Restor’s mission and strategic OKRs. Conduct market research to understand competitive landscape and user needs, ensuring that our platform stays ahead in the environmental and sustainability sectors.Team Leadership
Lead 3-week Scrum sprint cycles (refinement, planning, retrospectives) with the dev and product team (9 people) in the Netherlands, ensuring efficient execution and iteration of features.Product Lifecycle
Own the product roadmap and oversee the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing improvements, ensuring alignment with Restor’s mission and goals.Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from large companies to smallholder farmers, indigenous communities and NGOs, to gather requirements, define features, and prioritise the product backlog.Market Adoption
Partner with the partnerships and marketing teams to enhance product positioning and drive market adoption. Support growth initiatives that align with Restor’s mission of bringing transparency and connecting funders, investors, and nature stewards.Project Management
Create and manage detailed project plans, resources, budgets, and risks to ensure the successful and timely delivery of new features and platform improvements.Collaboration
With cross-functional teams (developers, data scientists, ecologists, and partners) to enhance platform capabilities, including a science team (~ 3 people) to integrate the latest available research into the platform
Must-haves
Proven experience as project manager and product owner of a digital product, preferably in the environmental or sustainability sector.
Experience in understanding and harmonising the complexities of regulations or guidance frameworks (e.g., TNFD, CSRD, SBTN, EU-DR) and presenting them in a simplified and actionable way is a plus.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. Linear) and methodologies (e.g. Scrum).
Nice-to-haves
Experience with geospatial technologies, data analytics, and AI-driven solutions
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field
