Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) has the ambition to be one of the most responsible and impactful businesses in the world. To fulfill this ambition, as part of a global CSR program, Zurich supports a number of nature restoration and conservation projects — and uses the Restor platform to easily monitor their impact.
As an insurance company that specializes in risk mitigation, Zurich is acutely aware of the threats posed by climate change and biodiversity loss. But it also knows that restoring nature offers incredible opportunities to improve food security, water regulation, and human health while reducing poverty and preventing species extinctions. That is why it supports projects that are conserving and restoring nature, including Instituto Terra in Brazil.

Since 2022, Zurich has used the Restor platform to present monitoring data about its Zurich Forest Project and other restoration sponsorships. Zurich also uses Restor to share the impacts of the Zurich Forest Project with its staff, clients, and the public.
“If we want to inspire others to take action, too, we need to be credible in our own engagement. For this, transparency is key, and even more so easy-to-understand, verified and trustworthy data. Restor helps us achieve that.” Heike Mittmann, Group Sustainability Communications Director, Zurich Insurance Group
